The Rosebud Story
Alex Dana’s restaurant legacy began in 1973, leading to the opening of the original Rosebud on Chicago’s historic Taylor Street in 1976. Inspired by his family’s restaurant roots dating back to 1923, Dana built Rosebud on homemade recipes, warm hospitality, and an unwavering commitment to quality. In 1992, he brought that tradition to Rosebud on Rush, establishing a beloved destination for classic Italian dining just steps from Michigan Avenue.
